Things 1-800-SERIOUS: This month, we share a short, yet sad story.

Our client, the mother of a 57-year-old man, contacted us after the Veterans Administration requested the emergency appointment of a guardian for her son so that physicians at the Veterans Hospital could treat him.  This could and perhaps should have been avoided if the veteran had executed a simple healthcare power of attorney form.  This form is available for free at: (Terri, cite NE web) and/or is something that any law office can provide.

Practice Tip:
A bit of advance thinking about healthcare issues can save a great deal of time and expense.
